Significant icing in the local area is expected from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to a National Weather Service active weather alert, total ice accumulations of two tenths to four tenths of an inch is expected at this time.

Power outages and tree damage because of icing are likely. Prepare in advance for power outages.

Hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
